Well, it looks like Fish Tiki is back from saving the... errr a vacation. He does have a message for the tribe though. Go see him at Lucky Tribe HQ and click on him to hear his tale.

Other news! The other two Elemental thrones have shown up at the other two temples. More cryptic messages come to those who meditate on them. 7 messages on each throne. 6.5 Challenges, part 1 - Thrones appear in Fire Tiki and Air Tiki Temples

Greetings Tribe!

Happy New year to all. As we remember, the massive observer said something would happen on the new year and finally it has.

As you remember, dear readers, Fish Tiki had taken off for the hills saying he would fix the problem with the Cubes. So far he has not returned. A bit of archeology has dug up a possible remedy for our dilemma. It has to deal with Elemental thrones...

This was the cryptic message that arrived shortly after the first thrones appeared at Fire and Air: Fire Tiki Temple can be found at http://slurl.com/secondlife/FairChang%20Quebrada/40/127/697. Air Tiki Temple can be found at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gwendolyn/24/46/22.

"It is written that in ancient times, a mysterious and powerful artifact stood in each of the elemental temples: The Four Mystical Thrones of Elemental Tiki Knowledge. In times of danger and trouble, Tribal elders would sit upon the thrones, imbibe mysterious substances, and be granted mystical insights into the problems facing those who followed the way of the Tiki.

Nobody is entirely sure what became of these magical thrones; clearly, they have not been seen in the temples for some time... though it has been suggested that they were temporarily moved to storage one Christmas to "make space for dancing and partying".

A task-force of crack archaeologists has therefore been dispatched to the sub-basement of Fish Tiki's lock-up, to try to locate the missing items of furniture.

Word from the archaeologists suggests that they have recovered four ancient items that might be considered thrones, of sorts... the first of which as been re-installed in the Air Temple.

Be warned - the knowledge obtained from the thrones is likely to be oblique and confusing at first. Fortunately, the great-and-wise Big Stone Head on Initiation Island has offered his services in decoding any messages that are found. We've always been a little confused about why Big Stone Head is here, and what his motives are (he's clearly unlike the other Tiki's, and possibly of a different species entirely)... but we believe his motives are benign.

Needless to say, Kudos will be rewarded to those who are successful in helping us unlock the wisdom of the ancients..."

I have examined one of these thrones and it seems to have a number over it. After speaking with other tribe members, they have determined each throne (so far) has 7 fragments in it. It is guessed you need to get all 7 fragments and take them to Big Stone Head at Lucky Tribe HQ for him to decipher them for you. HQ can be found at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Samoa/107/184/1004.

Lucky Tribe News: Return of the Cubes!

Dateline December 11th, 1:57pm - Lucky Tribe HQ. What started out as wonderful day playing Detonation turned to a day of horror as an giant observer cube appeared over Lucky Tribe HQ!

We knew there would be trouble when some naughty person released the captured cube we had quarantined at HQ. But this one was monstrous. Please see the following pictures and the transcription of what was said...

Observer 171B, Second Class: OBSERVING...

Observer 171B, Second Class: OBSERVING COMPLETE, FINDINGS OF OBSERVER 60370, THIRD CLASS HAVE BEEN VERIFIED.

Observer 171B, Second Class: DANGEROUS LEVELS OF TIKI INFLUENCE HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED IN THIS OTHERVERSE.

It then made a statement that we would be assimilated and resistance was useless. It said that this would be done on January 1st... The cube then disappeared, I guess going to another, otherverse?

Fish Tiki, then spoke up and yelled, "look...urm...don't panic... I can fix this... you *do* trust me - your old pal Fish Tiki right?" and with that he was gone. Fish Tiki, unlikely hero. We're not sure if he will call in fish or use his whiffy powers, but he said he can get rid of the cubic threat.

The conversation degenerated after that into who should stand in for Fish Tiki now he was gone and if the high priestess of all things whiffy should be made to stand in his place until he returns... if he returns...

I write this from my bunker, what can Fish Tiki do? We will all stand behind him, at a certain reasonable distance and help as best we can.

Kudos Spotlight: (~Moonlight Shadows~) Gorean Store

Greetings Tribers and Tribbettes,

When I was dealing with my clock issues I spent many nights away from the house under the stars. If I had only visited Moonlight Shadows, our newest Lucky Tribe location I might have been lucky enough to get a nice tent to sleep under. Well at least now I can. They have a ton of great gorean styled clothing, furniture, equipment, landscape items, and chores for all of you who cannot get enough washing joy in first life.

Also, there is a weird visitor at Lucky Tribe HQ. It is chained and some are keeping a close watch on this character. It does not seem to like Fish Tiki at all... I wonder what it wants. Anyway, folks have been advised to not mess with the chain as it becomes unstable when messed with. Luckily, it is just as easy to fix.

Lastly there are new fish to catch in the tribes pool. Rudolph Tiki, Santa Tiki and an Angel Tiki are the new ones to populate the pool. The Lucky Seahorse (Angelic) is also back for a short period of time, so come on down to HQ and catch the seasonals.

Kudos Spotlight: The Unlucky tide is over bring on the Lucky Kudos!

We have two new Great Lucky Tribe locations to bring you this week.

The owners of the first shop The Furry Cuddle Cave and Mystic Dreams Main Store were nice enough to rez one of their Ameretto breedable horses to show one of their fantastic items they sell. LDKO: The last of the Halloween Kudos

So I stumbled back to Water Tiki and asked, "Am I still full of bad luck?" A coconut then fell from the tree above the Water Tiki temple and hit me on the head, before floating up to the surface. He muttered, "flooded". "I thought you said it would go away if I did all of those unlucky chairs." "Unlucky". He said with authority. Unlucky is Watertikese for 13. I counted my unlucky Kudos. Oh my more to go. "Then what are the others?" He asked, "Trick or treat?" There are a number of new LDKO out there folks! First dare to trick or treat with the tikis? Head to each of the elemental temples and find out what Halloween means to the tikis. 1 Trick or treat quest starts at each temple. There are Kookies to be found at Lucky Designs. Ask the tribe and they'll help you get this LDKO. Finally, a previously thought extinct mushroom has been seen at detonation at Lucky Tribe HQ. LDKO: The Unlucky Chair Hunt

The day started out pretty much as expected. The clock struck 13 again. As it had every seven minutes for the last two weeks. Getting up, I tripped over my black cat, falling onto my nightstand and shattering the mirror. I tried to stand up and stumbled into my umbrella stand which fell over and my parasol popped opened onto the floor where an unlucky wind grabbed it and dragged it across my kitchen table spilled my salt, finally it rested on my horse shoe which rested for a moment before spilling over upside down. Just as I thought my bad luck for the day was over I received the bill from the clock repairman, who had informed me my clock was possessed and there was nothing he could do about it. Why, oh why, did I do that Unlucky Tribe initiation? Wandering outside I saw dark clouds hanging above, casting my normally tranquil blue island with a menacing reddish sheen. Ghost tiki was still haunting other Tribe locations. Maybe it had to do something with him. I sought out Water Tiki's advice. The Water Tiki Temple, oh so new, oh so improved, was filled with ghostly fish, spinning in a ghastly dance of death. Avoiding their attention I found Water Tiki in a dour mood. "Water Tiki, I'm having the worst luck. Are my fortunes going to get better?" "Drought." Water Tiki spoke in stern tones. "Is there any chance I can reverse my fortunes and bring back the good luck?" "Puddle." he simply stated. "Do you have any good news for me to pass onto the tribe?" "Ocean! Waterspout deeper evaporation, drown... silver-lining!" He proclaimed in formal Watertikese. I floated there pondering his words. "So, in order for the unlucky trend to end we must subject ourselves to a lot more unluck and probably pain, but good things will come from it?" LDKO: Unlucky Misfotunes and The Unlucky Tribe Initiation - The other side of Luck

The veil grows thinner and thinner this time of year. Strange occurrences happening even more often. Ghosts, possessed sky stones, Blogspot preventing image uploads for two hours, tentacle monsters in your dishwater, could it get weirder? Oh yes Virginia, it can and it has... Have you ever asked yourself, just how unlucky am I? Question no longer. At Lucky Tribe HQ right now a new Lucky Fortune has appeared, or should I say, Unlucky Misfortune! You ever wanted to see how bad a match can get? Then find the person you think you will least work out with and try out the "Unlucky Misfortune" at HQ. It's a LDKO so make sure you do it soon! After you have found your unlucky match head up to Initiation Tiki, take your seat and get initiated into "Unlucky Tribe." You know the routine, "Do you feel lucky?" Not for now you don't! Kudos Spotlight: LDKO The Scary Season...

I was roused from sleep by a disquieting dream. Not remembering the details, I layed snuggled in bed, buried under the covers trying to get back to sleep. A cold wind blew thru the room forcing me to bury my head under the blanket when the clock on my mantle started to chime. Bing, bing, bing... I had no idea of the time so I listened to the chimes. 13. My cat jumped onto the bed and tried to get under the covers. I sat there and just pet him, I felt his concern as well. The veils between worlds were growing thin, and I knew the season of Halloween had come to Lucky Tribe. So we knew that the Unlucky Dip had shown up at Lucky Tribe HQ so I asked around. Rumors of a Ghostly Tiki had surfaced again. Now I know what you are thinking, how can a tiki become a ghost? I don't know the answer to that but I started my search. LTHQ would be the best place to start the search so I figured I would start at the bottom up. I reached the area of the sky stones and looked around. There is a new ghostly engraving near the stones. 13. Hmm this had to have something to do with the Sky stones game. Still no ghost tiki. I made my way up to Fish Tiki's pond and saw the oddest devilish sea-horse poke it's head up out of the water. I broke out my pole and caught it straight away and caught a brand new SuperUltraRare Red Demonic Seahorse. I asked Fish Tiki about it and he said nothing. The ways of Tikis are strange and unknowing. I spoke with some other Tribers and Tribbettes and many spoke of their ghostly encounters. I told them it was all part of their imagination, yet they insisted. Water Tiki had asked for some decorations for the Water Tiki Temple. I figured a few good sculpts would keep him happy so I went to Nya's. I had just recovered from my teleport and what did I see a ghostly tiki staring at me with piercing glowing eyes. I reached out to touch it to prove to myself it was not an illusion and it faded away laughing. So he's not at all only at Lucky Tribe HQ but can be found at many of the Lucky Tribe locations and the Elemental Temples as well from the tales that pass thru the tribe. So that makes a total of four Halloween kudos so far. The tribe in on edge wondering whats next. Only time will tell, but don't wait too long. These limited duration kudos opportunities (LDKO) are only around until the end of October so go out there and get them! I might have been a sceptic at the beginning of the day, but by the end "I do believe in spooks" and that's what I want you to tell me in an in world note card if you want my I love the blog badge. Water Tiki - Fresh Water - New Location for Water Tiki Temple

It all started with a "Glug..." it always starts with a Glug. Water Tiki has a much larger vocabulary then what we normally hear him speak. "Wave, South Seas Edge, Fresh, Glug." Half the problem is you have to translate what he was meaning. But I had heard part of this before. Wave apparently means "move me!" Last time he wanted to change from a Sunset view to a Sunrise view and I had to move him halfway across the world. I actually convinced a group of dolphins to do it, but we won't go there. I looked thru my lexicon of Water Tiki sayings, and it translated to, "The water is always wetter on the other side of the sim line." This time, the move would be a lot easier. Water Tiki had too much Salt water and wanted to be moved closer to land, with fresh waterfall water. When a Tiki wants something, what can you do? So, Water Tiki Temple has been moved. Nestled under a waterfall along the edge of the an open river and the open sea. "Water Tiki Temple Jeaden! Lost Tiki Returns and LDDKO's!

And so it came to pass... Lost Tiki had become so lost that he found his way to the Land of Dead Kudos. Once something goes there, it does not come back. Lost Tiki was doomed to stay there forever, yet with all things tiki, there was always a lucky chance that he could be saved. Quickly, Lost Tiki came to realize, it was too late to ask for directions. All those years, wasted opportunities. He viewed all the dead kudos and piles of single socks and rummaged thru his pockets for anything that could help. Hmm... seven various coins of foreign currencies, 7 linden, tiki pocket lint, a tattered, smudged, damp, soiled, burnt, faded and slightly whiffy map of the first info hub, 5 lucky boards, Fish Tiki's tooth brush and low and behold, his lost cell phone. Thankfully he still had pretty good cell phone reception for a place with no exits. See every time you loose reception, it goes to the Land of Dead Kudos. He faintly remembered that Hud Tiki had a cell phone and frantically dialed. Hud Tiki realized what happened and consulted with the other Tikis. A plan was arrived at to bring Lost Tiki back...

The tribe came together and completed all the Tiki's elemental ceremonies. This drove Fish Tiki to come up with his own ceremonies so that he would not be left out. All completed in time. The veil between worlds was growing thinner with the shortening days. And so Lost Tiki saw his opening, grabbing a bunch of of the Dead Kudos Opportunities (DKO) and made his way thru the gate.

He loaded those Kudos in his Lucky boards and dropped them off at the various Elemental Tiki Temples and Left one with Fish Tiki. He looked for Cherry Kirktown, First Priestess of all things slightly Whiffy, to give her Fish Tiki's tooth brush but got lost trying to find her... Hopefully he'll find his way home one day.

So some might say, I have blogged this a week to late, but I would say I did it a week early! LDNKBO: Fish Tiki has his day!

While I was in the Water Tiki temple yesterday, cleaning up after the successful vigil over the weekend. By cleaning, I mean talking the snails that live there to keep on moving... I received message from Fish Tiki. It was very demanding even for him. Now I normally don't have any issue with this and told Water Tiki all about it. Water Tiki in his wisdom asked me, "Beast". "Kraken" I answered and the font of wisdom opened up in my mind! It said, if we do what Fish Tiki demands there will be a LDNKBO!

OK, I know what you are asking. What is a LDNKBO? Well its a limited duration no kudos badge opportunity and one is going on right now. Well since all the other Elemental Tiki's have been have gotten so much attention by the tribe trying to bring back Lost Tiki from the LoDK (Land of Dead Kudos), Fish Tiki has become a bit upset. See, he has determined that he needs as much attention as all the other Tikis got added together. So, from what he claims, even though we completed all of the necessary ceremonies to bring Lost Tiki back (with rich LDDKO [Limited Duration Dead Kudos Opportunities]), Fish Tiki is blocking the gates to the LoDK and preventing him from coming back until we do as he says.

Now after doing all of his culinary chores, Blackened Unlucky Fish and Mushroom Soup hunts he now wants us to do his housekeeping. And with all of the Lucky and Unlucky fish living in his pool at Lucky Tribe HQ, there has been the normal and abnormal bickering that happens at family reunions and this has lead to a few, oh lets say, accidents. The bottom of Fish Tiki's pool is full of many dead fish. You would think with 7 Kraken spawn living in there (Air, Water, Fire, Water, Ghost, Tiki and Lost varieties included) all catch able and all chock full of your daily Kudos needs, they would have dealt with the bodies, but it turns out they are very picky eaters. There apparently are 77 dead fish in that pool and they need to be fished for.

I received an odd pictogram before I left to go to HQ and didn't have a chance to decipher it before I joined my fellow Tribers and Tribbettes at the sight of the cleanup. Fish Tiki looked happy as he saw members of all of the elemental tiki's followers doing his bidding. I chastized Fish Tiki for his behavior and broke out my fishing rod. The tribe seemed to pull together to work well toward cleaning up the pond. I started fishing. I didn't catch one all night. After all, what type of bait do you use to catch dead fish? Anyway, if you catch one of the dead fish, on top of getting a little smelly, you get a badge. There are no Kudos associated with the badge, but for all you badge collectors, it's well worth it on it's own. So head down to LTHQ and catch one of those dead fish (uncommon).

I worked to decipher the pictogram, a slice of ham, a well drawn picture of a neko, a children's spinning toy, wavy lines a crude picture of a tiki and a Buddhist Monastery. I figured out what it meant and made my way back to Water tiki temple and found a neko waiting for me on the roof. He asked me not to give his name, but he said he was the unofficial priest of Lost Tiki and proceeded to rant for an hour, he claimed that Fish Tiki was trying to take over and prevent his Lost Tiki from coming back. I looked at his kudos points and noticed he had very few, he said he spends all of his time looking for lost tiki and has had no time to devote to anything else. His main point was, "fish are for eating not giving commands." I wandered away a little numbed after the incident and had to think, had Fish Tiki overthrown Lucky Tribe?

This afternoon I received a message from his Fishyness, "The Great And Mighty Fish Tiki, Keeper of All Things Fishy and slightly whiffy, wishes it to be known that:TWENTY THREE Loyal and fishy Acolytes have removed decomposing fishy lumps from his beloved pond.Also, be it known that - in recognition of SPEEDY, TIMELY, and EFFICIENT fish-lump removal (i.e. being the first acolyte to get her hands dirty), Cherry Kirktown has been granted the honorary title of: FIRST PRIESTESS of FISH TIKI, for the next 2 weeks." Congrats Cherry!

Well I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Fish Tiki disruption. A Postcard from Lost Tiki

Oh oh… it looks like Lost Tiki has really outdone himself this time, and found himself stranded in the Land of Dead Kudos. Ever wondered where all the abandoned, used-up, and plain-forgotten-about kudos boosters disappear to when they're not clicked on any more? That'll be the Land of Dead Kudos. It's a bit like the Elysium Fields of ancient greek mythology… only with grass skirts, lounge music, and exotic cocktails.

Anyway, all good things come to an end, and Lost Tiki has finally decided it's time to come home… there's only one problem - the trip to the Land of Dead Kudos is, traditionally, a one-way ride. There are no return flights. Extracting Lost from this world of missed kudos opportunities could take exceptional measures….

But there might be a way! The oldest Tiki priests recall a forgotten age when the ancient feast of "The Reaping" took place in late August. Opinions vary on the origins of this feast… some folk claim that it was tied up with harvesting that usually takes place around this time of the year… while other (more clued-up?) individuals claim that the festival was actually to do with the reaping of souls, and transitions from the mortal plain to the Land of Dead Kudos.

Here's the plan: The ancient Elemental Tikis believe that - for the duration of The Reaping - it might be possible to open a portal to the Land of Dead Kudos. To do this, they need the power of worship …. more specifically: the power of VIGIL worship!

Event Rules:

The Festival of the Reaping runs from NOW until Sunday 29th August.

If at least ONE elemental vigil is fully completed - at any Lucky Tribe temple - during this period, a gateway to the Land of Dead Kudos will be opened, and Lost Tiki will be able to escape.

A vigil only counts as valid if it has at least ONE vigil virgin taking part in it (i.e. somebody who hasn't won a "completed vigil" kudos badge before now answers at least one of the Tiki's questions).

As thanks for aiding his escape from the Land of Dead Kudos, Lost Tiki will bring gifts - These gifts will take the form of "resurrected" kudos boosters from The Land of Dead Kudos, giving people who missed them the first time round a NEW chance to win these (otherwise unavailable) badges.

On Monday 30th August, ONE previously-dead Kudos Booster will be returned to EACH temple that successfully completes a vigil during the course of "The Reaping" - meaning Lost Tiki could return from the Land of Dead Kudos with up to FOUR "dead" badges.

The exact badges to return will be nominated by the high priest/priestess of each temple (or, in the event of AWOL priests, their second-in-command will be consulted). The badges must be the "standard" in-store kudos booster type badges - i.e. a lucky chair, lucky board, fortunes, or lucky dip. Got something you REALLY want to see restored for a week? …tell the priests!

The resurrected kudos boosters will be placed in the relevant temples, and be winnable for a period of one week… after which, they will slip back to the Land of Dead Kudos (their presence in our reality is, alas, only transient!)

LDKO: Friday the 13th: The Unlucky Fish Returns

Way back when the world was new the Tiki Gods decreed many things. For example that swallows would return to Capistrano on March 13th, that you would always loose socks in the dryer and that on Friday the 13th the Most elusive of Lucky Tribe fish would return to their spawning ground at Lucky Tribe HQ http://slurl.com/secondlife/Samoa/104/179/1004 .

Now you might ask yourself, Unlucky Fish, isn't that against the concept of Lucky Tribe? No, Lucky Tribe is concerned with Luck of all varieties. Think of the Unlucky Fish as the Tribes scape goat. When you can't get that chair to flip, it's probably because some wild unlucky fish is hiding under the chair or is in the next region. So do your part in restoring the luck to HQ by catching one of these ultra rare fish.

Hello Tribbettes and Tribers!

Miranda Foehammer here. Now it was thought that with all of Fish Tiki's issues he might have a hard time making friends. He's like your unmarried uncle Walt. Lives by himself, has some strange hobbies and smells a bit funny. I must admit he makes a wonderful mushroom soup. Well it looks like he has no problem finding friends after all.

Oddly, his friends seem to be very large and have tentacles. I guess everyone has their own form of summer camp and Fish Tiki's is taking place at Lucky Tribe HQ right now!

Now at Lucky Tribe HQ, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Samoa/124/194/994 Fish Tiki's pond has been invaded by by a Kraken, and it seems to have spawned a new form of elemental krakens. They are all of a Rare variety and there is one for each element. Also, one seems to be eating Fish Tiki's head but he does not seem to mind. So come on down to HQ and catch yourself some of the babies before they all go away. Hopefully the Great Kraken will move to the Water Tiki temple at the end of Tiki summer camp. LDKO "The Solstice Sphere"!

Greetings Tribers and Tribbettes,

Well happy solstice folks, or it will be soon. Tomorrow to be exact. As the Tiki's have it despite me locking the solstice cubes away and having Heavy Tiki sit on them. Despite Izo mailing the earth Solstice cube somewhere far away, our fickle Tiki masters have caused all my planning to come to naught and have created "The Solstice Sphere"! Now this one is spinning now and if you have dealt with the cubes before and you are still alive, you can now have your own war stories to tell new Tribers. Visit HQ and take up the vigil. The seventh person to touch it gets a whopping big 50 Kudos awards. Shep has promised if the tribe keeps it going until the actual solstice will get another reward. The way this works is the Sphere is aligning itself to an element and telling those around it what it is aligned to. If you are of that element it is open to, and you touch it it will spin for 7 seconds and let someone else touch it. If you are not, then the Tiki powered sphere will take a lot longer. The seventh person to touch the sphere gets the kudos. So since this is very limited in duration, I suggest you go NOW! to Lucky Tribe HQ http://slurl.com/secondlife/Samoa/111/156/1000 and join the brave folks, wolf people and persisting ferrets that have been keeping that sphere turning. Greetings Tribers and Tribettes, Have you ever planned to do something and thought about it for quite a while. Then thought you had done it, only to find out that you drempt it? Well, that's what I did with this blog. I dreampt that I told all you fabulous folk of the LDKO (limited duration kudos opportunity) Kommemorative Kudos for Dedonation. Detonation has had it's first Rezday, and for a limited time, a LDKO will be a prize for the game. So I get this call from Fish tiki. He wants me to get his cooking pot. "What now?" I think to myself. I manage to go thru the Tribes secret storage facility. Torch and gun in hand. Do you know how many lost socks there are in there that were gumming up the hot tub's filter? I chase away rabid giant termites. Don't ask, they are there just awaiting any unlucky tiki who ever has to get his own stuff. I grab the pot and make it back out into the sunlight only to find that our beloved Fish Tiki... he has a fungus. Yes, according to Shep, it's been real damp up at HQ and Fish Tiki has contracted a mushroom. Virus, fungus, Solstice Cubes, what's next? Fish tiki keeps just muttering the same thing. He wants a specific mushroom. Not just one mind you quite a few. So if you are in mind to help, please visit fish Tiki, you might want to ask the tribe for a little help, but I hope you have all of your Mycologigal gear in good order, you are going to need it. This is a limited duration kudos opportunity (LDKO) and will be around until 1) fish tiki gets over his fungus. 2) He gets sick of mushroom soup or 3) He dries up. Prize Spotlight: Roawenwood

Once again, Roawenwood (SLurl) has an awesome Lucky Tribe Prize Ticket redemption gift, this Grassy Pond. At first, I thought it was their L$395 Fishing Pond, but there are a few differences. There is no fishing bucket with the prize version and the four animations are a bit different, but one of the nicest Willow trees I've seen in all Second Life has been added. This is 39 prims I'd be happy to add to my land if I still had some (I live in one of the Linden Homes). Limited Duration Kudos Op: The Lucky Tribe Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter season has brought a new Lucky Tribe Limited Duration Kudos Op or LDKO for short. This one is a great chance to revisit a ton of lucky tribe sites you might not have been to for a while. This will require a bit of planning if you want to get all of the Kudos on this hunt. I suggest you head to Lucky Tribe HQ and get yourself a card describing how it works and review the sign for the different Kudos you can win.

If you missed it go back through the announcements in the lucky tribe group and pull the card from there describing the egg hunt. Inside that card is another card with the wonderful lucky tribe locations that are participating.

With all these eggs, we are going to have a lot of egg salad. Hmm... Eggs, mayo and pickles (I still have tons of that) but I'm going to need mustard. The next three people that send me a note saying, "I got you mustard" will win a limited "The news kudos badge" token. If you already have this from me, please let someone else get the prize.

In Meatspace (what most call Real Life), I tend to repair damaged furniture when I can ... clean a stain, mend a tear, sand a gouge, etc. ... so my things take a while to look distressed. Many folks like that look, however I don't understand it myself, but where there's a market, there's someone willing to pay top dollar for "antiqued" goods. Fortunately we have Discomfort Grunge Furnishings (SLurl) in Second Life so you can get high-quality distressed furniture perfect to match the grunge lifestyle or some "period" builds and you don't need to spend a lot. Your help is needed. I regret to inform you that a princess has been captured by a very naughty man. Did I mention this princess knows the location of a very powerful weapon? So the question is, will you free the princess or force her to tell you where the weapon is? This is the question posed in the Quest for the Sword of Thorns Hunt.

Now what does this mean to Lucky Tribe? One word: Kudos!

Lucky Tribe has had members who have gone on hunts. Locations which have hosted hunts, but has never been part of a hunt itself. Until now...

Lucky Tribe is now part of a RP intensive hunt. So get yourself in character, get some cute RP garb and join in the hunt. The Lucky Tribe portion takes you all over the grid and when completed will give you a total of 30 Kudos points!

Kudos Spotlight: Sky Stones

Greetings Tribe! Well the Ancient Tiki gods in all their fickle nature have bestowed upon us another game at the Lucky Tribe HQ. Those missing lucky fish that some of the old timers have on their lucky tribe HUD that you thought were gone for good are back. Apparently they were hiding at the Lucky Tribe HQ and are now available to be caught again. Fishing quotas what they are you might want to get down to HQ and catch them before they disappear again. Don't have the money for all the bait? Ah, think again there is a fishing pass at HQ. Now you won't need bait to catch that Seahorse you were angling for, but you will not get 7Seas XP either. Prize Spotlight: Digital Art by Miro Collas

While the quality of Tribe Prize Ticket gifts are very good at all the Tribe affiliates, I have confess to a bias: I don't often wear dresses or "girly" things. I'd love to review those items but as I have to earn my Kudos like you do I tend to trade the tickets in for things I really would use. These "paintings" from Digital Art by Miro Collas (SLurl) are a great example. They will look fabulous in my home (see above) after I put up a wall or two (maybe ... just hanging there is kinda cool). Each is an image taken in SL then beautifully enhanced. I'm reminded of the time I spent at an old farm, savoring the great sunrises I'd see on the way from milking the cows back to the house for breakfast (5am is an ungodly hour to smell a cow). The sculpted frames are well-chosen for the subjects. Each 2-prim object is Mod/Trans so you can resize or gift them, but I think you'll want to keep these. And you'll want to browse the shop for Milo's other works, all very reasonably priced for the amount of effort needed to create them. Of course, you can grab these for free above the Lucky Chair (and grab the near by freebies) with a ticket like I did. What? You don't have enough Kudos to trade for a ticket? After looking at quite a few really great Lucky Tribe Redemption Prizes for this post, my inner-geek dragged me back to Abundantia at Uhre-DragonReach (SLurl) for YessikaCalydon Bardenboar's The astounding Ramla, a fortune teller much like you can still sometimes see in arcades or carnivals. As you'd expect, if you want your fortune you pay one of the two "coin slots" L$1 to learn the Ramla's words of wisdom. After that a blue dialog box appears in the upper-right corner of your screen with your fortune, one of 4o inside the machine (20 per "coin slot"). Here is what I got for my buck: "It is only those who have hit rock bottom that ever appreciate the sky."

Of course, I paid myself but I can see using this gadget in one of my shops where I have 40 spare prims to pick up some pocket change. I've used other vendor/toys like this, though not for the income. Rather something like this adds atmosphere and whimsy to a shop or other venue so customers spend more time and, hopefully, see more of your products to buy. The 40 prims is a bit heavy, but the unit is Copy/Mostly Mod so you could adapt it, like remove the feet or add a sign to explain how the device works. I like the cleverness of it I think I'll have some fun with it.

I know I'm gonna have at least as much fun as the Prize Ticket I used to get it is worth and I think you will, too. What? You don't have a Prize Ticket? You need more Kudos? Second Life® residents love their skyboxes but I prefer to live on the ground. When I rented a large swath of land on a private region I kept my home on the ground and created some lovely landscaping. There were times I could do the same thing when I lived on mainland. But other times when the view was terrible or I needed a high-altitude skybox for privacy I seldom put in windows. After all, what is the point of staring out into an infinity of blueness?

I wish I had come up with Nika Dreamscape's idea of making beautiful faux windows, like this Lucky Tribe Ticket Redemption Prize from her store, Wine and Roses (SLurl). This three-prim, nicely textured piece has copy/mod permissions so you can liven up any wall with a great view through several windows without using a lot of prims. Her shop has several styles you can purchase even if you are on a budget. And be sure to look at the attractive stained glass lamps. Okies, now look at the dragon. :::giggle::: It's a pretty fanciful one from Noramyr Gullwing, the dragon breeder and fun pet maker behind Fights of Fancy. This awesome shop is part of an attractive and creative shopping complex at Extrovirtual and has a generous number of Kudos-laden Lucky Chairs (SLurl). Right near the region's landing spot is the Tribe prize redemption vendor (SLurl) and if you have a spare Prize Ticket, you can grab an adorable dragon like mine. She breathes fire, can be renamed (displayed or not over her head with hover text). For some reason she (yes, all my dragons are girls) initially attaches to the ear but you can move her anywhere, of course. I like dragons on my head, though, so this works for me.

Prize Spotlight: Ari's Neko Retreat

Lately, my wife has been enjoying a new-found nekoness, prancing about in all her bits and reminding me of when I was a full-time neko. So today I began to think about a return to my roots, as it were, and right away thought of Ari's Neko Retreat (SLurl), a haven of cattitude and then some. While there I whipped out a Lucky Tribe Prize Ticket and claimed the "Lucky Tribe Exclusive Tail N' Ear Set," an adorable and well-crafted fluffy tail and pair of ears (two pair, actually, one small set and one large). Using a HUD, the tail and ear positions can be moved about and Xcite settings (for letting your body parts talk) can be adjusted. I love the little luck trinkets though the rabbit's foot couldn't have been lucky for the bunny and the two chess pieces confuse me in the luck scheme, but all are fast rezzing and cute. The little hat on the ear makes me proud to be Irish-born. Sure, I have quite a few sets of ears and tails (I need more paws) but this set is a welcome addition to my inventory and should be in yours, too.

Prize Spotlight: Made in France

Many things confuse me. Like why are there eight hot dogs in a pack but six buns in a bag? Or, if Barbie is so popular, why do we have to buy her friends? How about if the store is called Made in France, why are there so many nice Japanese things there? I have a lot to worry so minor things like this I let drift by, especially since I traded in a Prize Ticket in the shop for this beautiful, 28-prim dining set. It's elegant design, quality textures, and Copy perms make this more than a L$100 value, it's sale value if you wanted to buy it rather than use a ticket. I'm looking to replace a lesser quality set I have in my home and this is perfect. The set is on display in the store (SLurl) and while you are there, check out the Lucky Board and the Midnight Mania. The shop has some nice clothes, tattoos, and other nice items.

Prize Spotlight: Haven Designs

If you look in my inventory you'll see that I have forty-one sets of silks from from nearly a dozen designers. That doesn't count the ones I have in storage or in my twin/alt's inventory. Over the last year I may have discarded that many silks. So why did I want the Haven Designs (SLurl) *HD* Dara Silks - Gold? Just look at the picture ... they are gorgeous! The detailed prim work on the arm band and skirt is about as perfect as can be. The bows are just the right size and beautifully accented by decorative rings. The textures are good quality and stand up to inspection with few flaws. What I really like is the shoulder cape. This bit is not typical to silks and adds an exciting flair to the overall design. My inventory has some room for genuinely nice sets like this one.

Maybe silks aren't for everyone, but Kudos certainly are. If you haven't gotten the "Summer of Blog" points yet, contact me in-world and I'll send to you a prim you can rez or wear that will add 15 points to your total. Limit of seven readers, please.

Prize Spotlight: Kero's Toy Box Store

:::giggles insanely as she tags everything in sight::: I need to earn more Kudos as I just used my last Prize Ticket on this really fun gadget from Kero's Toy Box Store (SLurl), a "golden" spray paint can that writes any Graffiti you want in a variety of colors and your choice of three fonts. Each letter is a prim so you'll need build rights where you want to do your tagging. Since I see myself using this to make temporary signs for sales and events where I work this should not be a problem. Certainly any merchant or builder will love this, but even the imps among us will appreciate this prize. Especially when you consider similar products are in Kero's store for L$300 !! BTW . . . Do you need more Kudos, too? The first seven people to give me a holla in-world with the phrase "I be spittin' overkill tag wit fatcaps" will get a prim they can wear or rez for 15 Kudos. Prize Spotlight: Moonlight Obsession

One of the first products I made (very long ago in SL time) for my shop was a set of avie antlers with a nice color change decoration on each horn. They seem to sell once in a while, mostly to Tinies, and after seeing the new ones from Moonlight Obsession (SLurl) it's pretty clear I need to update my work. The "MO-Horns-Moon's Mist-White" I got with a Kudos Prize Ticket are fabulous. To me, the delicate primwork is the highlight. Working with small prims is very hard but Lunaria Eclipse did very well. The dangling ribbons are an extra-nice touch. XCite scripts are built-in so your horns can emote like this [16:18] MO-Horn L1-Moon's Mist-White: Uccello Poultry gently slides her horns against you rubbing softly to feel tingles down her spine. Whether you regularly use a Fantasy avie or not, these horns are a good addition to anyone's Body Parts collection.

Prize Spotlight: Over Cie's

As a builder I'm always on the lookout for new textures to keep my work fresh and original so I'm very glad I found Over Cie's (SLurl). The set of eight textures pictured here should look great in a Retro 60's club I've got in mind for a client. All the textures I've seen at the shop, be they the Prize texture set , the reasonably priced regular stock, or the freebies, all seem crisp and fast-rezzing. The Ritual of the Elements

Introducing... the Four Elemental Tikis

The Elemental Tikis represent the "classical" elements of ancient philosophy and magick: Air, Water, Fire and Earth.

Every member of Lucky Tribe has a special affinity to one (and only one!) of the four Elemental Tikis. This affinity is permanent, and - once discovered - can never be changed.

A new Lucky Tribe ritual has been revealed, through which you can deduce your own elemental affinity. The ritual involves the use of a Scrying Pool, and a Hookah pipe. Knowledge of the precise ritual is a little fuzzy at present ... but a small number of Lucky Tribe Members have already deduced the basic techniques of hydromancy, and have been able to identify their own elemental affinity (earning a special 40 point Kudos award). As with all Lucky Tribe rituals, the process depends on co-operation, organization, and knowledge-sharing. The Lucky Tribe group chat is a good (?) place to begin your quest for knowledge :)

A few ritual items have been placed at Tribe HQ, for general use by the tribe. Alternatively, you can purchase your own hookah and scrying pool from HQ, and experiment with the ancient arts of hydromancy at the location of your choice (all sales contribute to the ongoing upkeep of Lucky Tribe!)

Prize Spotlight: CC Decor

When Shep announced there was a store called CC Decor (SLurl) I had to check it out as my brother is named CC. No relation to the shop, of course, but I did make a landmark for him because he'd love the furniture, like this "Natural Calm" bedroom set I got with my latest Tribe Prize Ticket.

The bed has 18 poses for intimacy and nine for cuddles. The lounger has poses, too, which was a surprise. I didn't expect more than just a simple sit, but it has five total. Very, very nice. Silly me, I should have had higher expectations considering how well the six-piece set is made and textured. Run out and get more Kudos! Maybe from one of the three three Lucky Chairs on site. Whatever you have to do, this bedroom set is something you should put on your Want List.

Prize Spotlight: C&S Designs

C&S Designs (SLurl) sells some very attractive furniture and has two Kudos-bestowing Lucky Chairs. I sat in one recently and noticed a very nice 10-prim tropical beach lounger set available for one Kudos Prize Ticket. I put it on my list of 'want' and came back today after collecting enough points. Is there a better way to celebrate Summer (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) than to kick back and relax on the beach? And this is a good set for that ... all pieces are linked for easy positioning, the sculpties are fast-loading, and the textures are very nice. Each chair has a comfy pose, too. Now look at that pic ... don't I look good on it?

Prize Spotlight: The Midnight Diamond

Over time I've gotten pretty good at beating prims into submission so that I can make jewelry but when it comes to getting the textures right ... I still need to work at it. So when I saw these rings at The Midnight Diamond (SLurl) I couldn't help but be impressed. Click the pic for a good look and you'll see how well these are textured. They have a luster that is rare to find and a tastefully elegant design. This is well worth spending a Prize Ticket. If you don't have enough Kudos, sit in the chair at the same spot and earn some more.
